The Goal of EmergentCoach
EmergentCoach™ exists to provide guidance for individuals undergoing important spiritual and relational life transitions.
Transitions often result from an experience that results in an awakened consciousness. You can actually see things clearly – see things how they really are…perhaps you have experienced some personal epiphany. Perhaps it occurred suddenly like a light-bulb turning on. Maybe it has been brewing for years in your heart and mind. Regardless, you’re now open to a new way of being and doing.
One common experience during transition is aloneness – the feeling that can soon follow an exhilarating experience of new possibilities – the realization that you may be one of the few who see things this way. You recognize that it is impossible to close your mind back up again – you are forever changed. Circumstance, time, and experience has shattered the old paradigm and you have no new paradigm and no fellow travelers along this new road. The other common experience: You do NOTHING about it. That is the greatest tragedy of all.
Why Emergent?
Emergent denotes two important ideas that are at our very foundation.
Transition can often be identified with crisis or a sense of “emergency”. This is more than a play on words. Often times, individuals are faced with a complete shift in their thinking or circumstances that can lead to real crisis. In an emergency, immediate action is required to sustain life. There are precious few moments where specific actions must be taken, otherwise it is too late. In the same way, without thoughtful, immediate action, many people let the very best opportunities of transition slip by and the opportunity is forever wasted.
Emergent also denotes "coming into one’s own” or becoming who you were intended to be. Discovering who you are and becoming comfortable with this identify is key to fulfilling God’s calling for your life. How many people do you know who are not living up to their full potential because they are living someone else's idea of the ideal life?
EmergentCoach exists to help you take immediate action to become (emerge) into who you are and to do what you are intended to do.
